Poker Room and Sports Book

Poker Room:
Since the Rio hosts the World Series of Poker, you would think the Rio Poker Room would be one of the largest and nicest in Vegas, right? Wrong on both accounts. The Poker Room is little more than a make-shift alcove to the sports book with 10 tables. The tables are nicely spaced but the chairs are crummy vinyl.

Sports Book:
170 seat room, about 60 of which are for the race books. Two big 6 by 8 foot screens plus 40 smaller TVs.

Bars, Lounge and Tattoo Shop

Flirt Bar

Voodoo Lounge
Ride the glass elevators on the outside of the Rio to the top floor, and you enter the Voodoo Lounge. The lounge has an outside two story large patio offering great views of the Strip.

VNI at the Rio
Vince Neil of Motley Crue owns this tattoo shop. They also sell Vince Neil memorabilia.

Mavens Overview

If you like casinos that are loud, sonically and visually, then the Rio is for you. The rooms are large, although the layout is not well thought out and seems to waste a lot of space. The Voodoo Lounge on the top of the Rio has one of the best views in Vegas.

Internet Buzz

The floor to ceiling windows allow for great views, but also make it hard for the air conditioning to cool the room on hat summer days. The pools are nice, but close too early. Complaints about high table minimums for an off-strip property.

Hotel Overview

The rooms are called suites, but are really just large rooms with a separate sitting area with a couch and chairs. All rooms have refrigerators. The floor to ceiling windows all for great views of either the mountains or the strip.
