Pool and Spa

One large pool and a smaller wading pool, plus a jacuzzi. Not as posh or luxurious as most Strip pools, but still a decent casual atmosphere.

The Spa at the Orleans has eight treatment rooms plus a fitness room overlooking the pool area with both cardio and weiht equipment. Not posh, but clean and functional.


Poker Room and Sports Book

Poker Room:
35 tables, the room is popular with both locals and tourists. Offers the lowest rake of any of the large rooms in Vegas (10%/$3max). The room is not fancy, the focus is on the poker game not the surroundings. Daily touranments are offered.

Sports Book:
Seating for 125, 13 race book betting windows and 7 sports betting windows. Nine TVs in the sports book and 10 in the race book.

Features live bands nightly, and is very popular with locals.

Mavens Overview

An off-strip property geared towards the budget minded visitor. The hotle and casino is almost as big as ones on the Strip. The property offers many enetertainment options that are much less expensive than those on the strip, like bowling lanes, movie theater, plus live shows with lower ticket prices.

Internet Buzz

Many comments that his is a good hotel for kids beasuse of the bowling lanes, movie theater and arcade. In Summer months the hotel is often filled with high school and middle school kids cdompeteing in National tournaments. The rooms get good reviews for the price. Most people find the shuttle to the strip convenient, and the wait reasonable.

Hotel Overview

The standard rooms are larger than the average Strip room at 450 square feet, and include a coffee maker, something rarely found in Strip hotel rooms. Desks with high speed internet are standard in all rooms.

Shows, Movies and Bowling

Orleans Showroom
827 seat show room features mostly older first-rate B-list talent. Dennis Miller, Air Supply, The Smothers Brothers have performed here recently.

Orleans Arena
Home ot the Las Vegas Wranglers hockey team. The 9,000 seat arena also hosts concerts, boxing matches, and more.

Bowling Lanes
Like its sister property the Gold Coast, the Orleans has 70 bowling lanes, complete with full service pro shop plus bar and lounge area.

Modern stadium seating in all theaters.

Featuring 21 Day aged prime rib plus steaks and seafood. More, please.

Courtyard Cafe
24 hour coffee shop. Full breakfast and dinner menu, from eggs to sanwiches and steaks. Plus some cheap late night specials.

Don Miguel's
Mexican cuisine, above average quality. Separate margarita bar.

French Market Buffet
Less expensive than the strip buffet, make this a good value, although the sister property, The Gold Coast, has a better quality buffet. More, please.

A national chain noted for their made to order hambugers and hamburger buns baked daily in-house. Open 24 hours.

Koji Sushi Bar and China Bistro
Chinese menu features the usual suspects plus a large selection of noodle dishes. Plus sushi and tempura. More, please.

Prime Rib Loft
As expected dry aged prime rib is the featured menu item, served in three portions, from 10oz to 22oz. Served with choice of large baked potato or garlic mashed potatos.

TGI Fridays
The national chain restaurant features Jack Daniel's BBQ ribs, shrimp, and chicken. Plus pasta, sandwiches, burgers, and salads.
