Mavens Overview

Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino has a great location right in the middle of the strip, which is targeted towards a middle middle class clientele and is surrounded by the Miracle Shops, an indoor mall filled with stores aimed at middle class patrons.

The Casino Floor is the epitome of the current Vegas Zeitgeist, with a near complete roll-back of Vegas Kitsch. Rectangular light fixtures scattered overhead gradually change colors, while music is is played loud enough to drown out any conversation below a shout.

Internet Buzz

Location, location, location everyone mentions the great location of Planet Hollywood. The beds get high marks too, the thin walls between rooms, not so much. Rooms are dimly lit. The timeshare sales people seem to get on everyone's nerves here. Surprising comments about getting static shocks in the room. The self parking was noted for a long and convoluted walk to the hotel lobby. Valet parking receives mixed reviews. Some found the loud music in the casino annoying, while others feel it helps create a party-like atmosphere. On the food front, Pink's Hot Dogs and the only 24 hour Starbucks in Las Vegas receive some buzz.

Hotel Overview

The newly remodeled "Hollywood Hip" rooms are notable for containing real movie memorabilia, hence you're not staying in room 2510 but the "Die Hard" room. The bathrooms are large with soaking tubs and separate shower stalls. Pillow-top mattresses, with down pillows and flat panel televisions complete the package.
