Mavens Overview
The El Cortez has been continuously operated from the same location since 1941, which makes it 'Old Vegas'. Bugsy Siegel was one of the early owners. Jackie Gaughan the owner since 1963 sold his ownership in 2008, although he still lives in an onsite penthouse apartment, and frequents the poker room.

The rooms are large for downtown, clean, but look dated. The bathrooms are small. No hair dryer in the room.
